BEHIND THE MUSIC

How it all started...

Every girl aspires to be something when they're little. For me, music was always in the cards. I specifically remember writing a letter to my future-self explaining how I thought my life would turn out. I would go to Juilliard and become a famous pianist (and drive a purple convertible of course!) Surprisingly enough, that's not quite how it went.

It started when I was 7, I had my first piano lesson. My poor parents had to listen to me play Jingle Bells on repeat for weeks, but I soon got better, learned new songs, fell in love, and have played ever since. Little did I know, piano was only the start.

Through the years I began singing. Not because I was good but because there is no greater feeling than belting out your favorite song. And so I fell in love again. Next came writing. My words became lyrics. My lyrics became songs. My songs became music.

Music isn't just something you hear, it's something you feel and see and experience. It triggers memories & creates them. It's my greatest passion & I don't know what I would do without it.
